Hey! My name is Gyuzel and I am from Uzbekistan. I am a 3rd year BA student at ASC.
As I love exploring new cultures, people, traditions, food and languages, I decided to use an amazing opportunity our university provides us — an exchange semester in some other country. As a result, I am in breath-taking and cozy Dresden, Germany. One may ask, how do I like it here? Well, I can tell you that I loved it here so much that I decided to stay for one semester more, which was already approved by both universities here in Dresden and in Warsaw.
I would definitely suggest TU Dresden to have your exchange semester at, because there are a lot of interesting subjects to choose from American Studies major. This semester I am taking classes in young adult fiction, surveillance and cultural history! Moreover, Dresden is located near the mountains and there are a lot of mesmerizing locations and paths for hiking lovers. Dresden is perfect for those of you who want to escape big city and feel the calmness of a smaller city full of old gothic architecture and beautiful nature.
An exchange semester is a priceless experience which you will never forget. Being an Erasmus student gives you a lot of unforgettable memories, useful experiences, amazing people whom you will keep meeting on your way, which can result in great friendships. I guess the most valuable, memorable and important thing that happened to me during my exchange semester is the fact that I met so many great people. What is more, the exchange experience gives you a chance to explore your limits and understand yourself better.
Go for it! You will never regret! Just keep in mind: it may turn out better than you could have ever imagined.
