Hey there! I am Ewa, currently a 3rd-year BA student at the ASC. I studied at McGill University in Montreal, Canada during my semester abroad. It was truly an exhilarating experience, given both academic and personal growth. The beautiful McGill campus is located right in Downtown Montreal and is easily accessible from different parts of the city. What is more, MTL has very diverse neighborhoods – starting with Leonard Cohen’s favorite one, known as Le Plateau, and finishing with Old Port, famous for its cool restaurants or cafes.

Studying at McGill was noticeably different in comparison to the University of Warsaw. There were fewer courses with an emphasis put on more frequency and workload per week. I took four classes: Political Sociology, Introduction to Modern Art, Understanding Canada, and International Political Economy: Trade. The latter was the best, yet the most demanding one. The professors were accompanied by teaching assistants which made the whole teaching-learning process easier. Having an opportunity to be surrounded by such inspiring, high-class educators and fellow peers made me realize that everything is possible.
